The Full Story
Give back!
We’ve chosen a “Give Back to the Community” program for those who would like to donate to help Helena children. Scare Ladies is a local nonprofit organization raising support for school lunch debt in and around Helena. Lunch debt is a huge problem and seniors who don’t have their debt paid are at risk of not receiving their diplomas after graduating! Please see the news link below for an understanding of this issue and the efforts of Scare Ladies to help!
You can bring cash or checks to the Thursday, Friday or Saturday night events where we will have a collection box. We will present the donation to Scare Ladies and post our Class of ’76 contribution on theirs and our Facebook pages.

ScareLadies work to reduce Helena Public Schools meal debt

Mission
ScareLadies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using creativity, reclaimed materials, and community joy to help pay down school lunch balances for local students. By turning art and laughter into action, we aim to ensure our young people focus on learning and being kids—not hunger or lunch debt.
Why We Do This
Many students carry the quiet burden of unpaid school lunch balances. For some children, school meals are their most reliable source of nutrition. ScareLadies exists to help remove that burden—one child, one meal, and one joyful creation at a time. We believe no child should feel anxiety or embarrassment over something as basic as lunch.
Our initial focus is on the seniors who won’t receive their diploma nor their transcripts until the debt is paid. But eventually we hope to pay off as many of these debts as possible.
